Meet Travis

Travis Palladino, founder & director of Music Flow LLC.

Travis first began his journey in music at the age of 11 in Kennett Square, PA when he received a Fender Stratocaster as a birthday gift from his parents.  After learning songs from a variety of artists in his early teens, Travis gravitated towards the influence of icons such as David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, and Dave Matthews to form his platform for learning.  With some pointers from his musical father (and of course some noise tolerance from his whole family), Travis grabbed a hold of key ideas and styles from these influences among others to become a self-taught improvisational guitar player.  Throughout his younger years, he enjoyed collaborating with other musicians to build melodies by ear that would serve to create and enhance music of all kinds.

While continuing to practice guitar and pursue musical collaboration, Travis attended college at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2008.  This lead to an initial career opportunity in Atlanta GA with the James M Pleasants Company as a sales engineer in commercial building system solutions.  This opportunity allowed for immense personal growth for Travis in developing client relationships and creating adaptive solutions over a period of 7 years.

However, throughout his young professional life, Travis felt an increasing motivation from deep within to pursue music in a much greater and more meaningful extent.  In 2014, he began further studying music and creative learning methods in Atlanta under Vision Music Live, a premier and empowering instruction company in the area.  One year later, he decided it was the right time to take a full-time approach with music in a new area of the country.  Combining his knowledge and love of music with his skill sets from sales and business development, Travis moved to Bend OR in the summer of 2015 where he created Music Flow shortly after arrival.  More recently, he performed lead guitar in Shrek the Musical and is now pursuing a new collaborative music project.

Travis believes that each person in this world is granted a unique set of gifts for the purpose of discovering and sharing with others. It is this never-ending journey of self-discovery and impacting the lives of other people that motivates him each and every day to continue creating his path and pushing forward.

Travis currently resides in Bend, Oregon.  Outside of music, Travis enjoys golf, snowboarding, group fitness, yoga, and local volunteer work.

In November of 2015 I had decided to really start learning how to play the Guitar after years of just knowing a few Chords and Rhythm and playing the same old stuff over and over, and through a business relationship I found out about Music Flow Teaching and little did I know at that time what a huge impact this was going to have on my life. My goal in the beginning was to learn how to Solo and not just copy or mimic what other Guitar players had done but be able to create my own solos, I was shocked at how quickly my Instructor was able to get the basic scales needed to start this process going, and how fast I was able to absorb these techniques and forms to get started on my journey to my Goal. Now that I have been doing this for over a year and a half it seems like every lesson just provides a quicker learning experience as I get more and more of the capabilities in my hand. I really like how my Instructor is able to adapt quickly and change from lesson to lesson to work on a technique or form instead of just sticking to some plan that someone else has developed. What I have learned since starting with Music Flow has affected my life in more ways than just music alone, it has reignited a passion that had been gone for a long time as I look so forward to getting home and playing everyday, it has also helped every other part of my life as well. I now seem to focus on task better and and pay more attention to detail than before I started on this journey. From the deepest part of my Heart I would like to just say Thank You Music Flow Teaching and I cant wait to see what the next year holds because if it is anything like the last year my advancement will be exponential.
