Our Mission

music [myoo-zik]:  an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. (1)

flow [floh]: the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. (2)

Music Flow was created to develop students of all ages by way of realizing their inner potential to create and play music, the universal language that can communicate emotion and inspire others and themselves to greatness.  Our instruction approach is totally adaptive to our students’ needs and aspirations, using creative methods to teach both style and critical theory around the music that motivates them to learn.  We take the time and effort to assess a true starting point for instruction, then create a path tailored to engaging the student at every step along the way to push further and see what is around the next bend.  It is a journey of self discovery that for many may never end, so be prepared for the potential ride of a lifetime.

Are you a parent who wants to introduce music to your kids?  Are you someone who played in high school or college and wants to reconnect with music?  Are you already involved in a music program and want more tools for improvement to help you succeed?  Are you in a band and want to be able to better understand how to create music and improvise at the next level?  If you are like any of the above, then Music Flow is here to help and create a program for you.  Our instructors are selected carefully with the skill sets to adapt to your needs in a creative and motivating way, never leaving you behind and always keeping a positive atmosphere for learning.

“There’s a desire in me to express something - to match what I hear in my head.

— Eric Clapton

My name is Tatiana Cobos and I have been playing guitar for about 7 years. Ever since I can remember it always fascinated me the way the guitar looked, how it sounded, and the way you move your hands when you play the instrument. Along these 7 years I have had a few teachers. Some didn’t challenge me the way I wanted to be challenged and others had a different vision for me than that I had for myself. A couple of years ago we came across Music Flow. At the end of the first lesson I felt more connected to the guitar and to music. My instructor challenges me and shows me new concepts that I couldn’t even image exist. Every Wednesday I cannot wait to go home from school and see my instructor and what he has in store for me. Music for me has become a place I can explore and have my own little bubble of creativity. I have found my love for the guitar and music, and I have no plan in stopping my lessons any time soon! I love Music Flow and what I have learned!
